Volunteering

We are always looking for people who are passionate about helping others along the path to recovery! Please review the expectations of a volunteer below and reach out to us!

We value our volunteers more than we could ever express! A few things that are expected of volunteers are listed here. As we are working with mental health issues, we need to ensure we are maintaining the highest ethical standards and practices.

Volunteers must be culturally sensitive and have a compassionate understanding of trauma.

Volunteers are expected to attend infrequent workshops on: Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Practices, Coping skills training, and ethics. These are planned to be no more than an hour in duration, and will likely be held monthly.

We ask that volunteers be open to feedback, both positive and negative. Our communities are our priority. Any feedback is intended to best serve our community members.

Unless there is a valid medical exemption, we also ask that volunteers offering in-person services are vaccinated against Covid-19. Our first priority is to protect the community, including ourselves.
